about

It seems as though the Bible in recent times has been viewed as an ordinary book that gives a few lessons on what is right and wrong. It has come to the conclusion from society that Jesus was nothing more than a good bloke that lived, taught His views and did a miracle or two. Christianity in the eyes of the world are a bunch fanatical people that go out to church on Sunday's and get all preachy on people that aren't as “Holy” as them.

There are warped views and misconceptions from both sides of the fence but the one thing that lunges out is that the Bible has been used less and less as times progresses because it seems more natural that a theory of the world being created by a big bang is way more believable than a supreme being creating it. It is natural to think that ape and man have a common ancestor but seems irrational to think that a supreme being created them. It is natural to believe in all these conspiracy theories on the end of the world than to take God's word for it. But to the percentage of the audience that do believe that a supreme being can do anything and everything, it seems completely ridiculous and impossible in their mind to think that a supreme being can be a man.

I don't know what supreme being you are thinking of but the one I know of is God and to clear up the confusion on whether God can be a man or not; He is Jesus Christ. Instead of thinking that the big bang was an explosion, look at God being the big bang and if the big bang is responsible for the world being created, and I say that God is the big bang then your answer as to who created man and ape has been answered.

Why am I saying all this?

Because I found this comfort in a source called the Bible and this source has been in our history for thousands of years but yet the same issues come into play and that is that it doesn't make sense to some; or lot of things contradict each other; or we don't see miracles taking place now so everything written was exaggerated.

However, this project is to show you that the Bible isn't outdated and can be a source to rely on in any situation. Have you ever been in a situation where there is no way out and hope is lost? Then something like “The Lions Den” would help by being in the shoes of Daniel. What about dealing with self pity or self condemnation? Then check out what Ezra was feeling when he felt like he [and his clan] wasn't feeling “Worthy” enough of the grace bestowed on them. Ever feel like you had a mentor or a boss that wasn't in the picture and you had to take their place and you are overcome with self doubt? Well be “Strong and Courageous”; Heartbreak and betrayal? check out “Delilah”; Discriminated? “Wishing Well”; Joy? “Like An Eagle”

I could go on and on about how much substance the Bible has but it is up to you to make the word relevant in your lives again. The aim isn't to receive large amounts of praise on creativity, or get recognition with high profile awards but the aim is to connect one person to one song at their time of need. So as you go through the last phase of this series dubbed “The Epilogue”, have a listen, reflect on yourself and read the word for yourself to get a better understanding and a new revelation from God.

I pray this album blesses you.

With love,

Rodney “D.I.S.C.I.P.L.E” Ahenkan
